The chassis results from a set of ingenious ideas, featuring several solutions that allow the MERLO range to offer unique features in the market. As a example, all of them telescopic handlers have a steel rod ring at the base of construction the chassis, 70mm thick, which allows to lower the center of gravity, eliminating the need for a counterweight, as well as protecting the most sensitive components, such as headlights and hoods.
MERLO has a long tradition of extensive experience in hydrostatic transmission equipment, which allows for great fuel economy, always available traction power, and unparalleled sensitivity and precision.
These models have a CVTronic transmission, which allows smooth acceleration up to 40 km/h without any interruption in torque. The low speeds, the two hydrostatic motors work together to provide maximum torque, with an increase of 12% compared to conventional hydrostatic transmissions. The hydraulic system allows the operator to perform up to 3 movements simultaneously of the arm, due to the presence of a valve that distributes the hydraulic flow. The chassis leveling and the arm lateral movement prevent the machine from repositioning unnecessarily, increasing productivity and reducing time lost in movements. Operation of the machine is easy and simple, as all controls are ergonomic and oriented towards the operator. The cabin has suspension, making operation comfortable on any terrain.
The Cabin Suspension version includes a cabin suspension system, which improves the arm's stability and allows operators to maneuver the machine more quickly and smoothly.
