The chassis results from a set of ingenious ideas, featuring several solutions that allow the MERLO range to offer unique features in the market. As a example, all of them telescopic handlers have a steel rod ring at the base of construction the chassis, 70mm thick, which allows to lower the center of gravity, eliminating the need for a counterweight, as well as protecting the most sensitive components, such as headlights and hoods.

The Plus version offers a more powerful powertrain, allowing for higher travel speeds. There is a reduction in the effort required to operate the engine in heavier operations, as well as an increase in productivity through faster performance of functions. This version is equipped with electronic engine management – the EPD (Eco Power Drive) – which allows reducing fuel consumption and adjusting the RPM (Rotor Per Minute) based on the power required for the operation to be performed and through an economical mode that limits the engine RPM. The Plus version features electronic joysticks and a complete load control and management system through accessory recognition, maintaining machine stability – MCDC (Merlo Dynamic Load Control).
